Hirofumi Moriyasu (森安 洋文 Moriyasu Hirofumi , born April 23, 1985) is an American-born professional footballer. He currently plays for Sydney FC in the A-League. Although being born in the U.S., Moriyasu grew up in Japan.

Moriyasu was born in the United States, and first played for Dallas Texans SC before moving to Japan where he played football for his high school team, as well as college football.
He was on the verge of quitting football to get a "normal job" when he received the opportunity play in Australia in March 2010. He subsequently signed for New South Wales Premier League club APIA Leichhardt Tigers for the 2010 NSW Premier League season.[1]
He signed for A-League club Sydney FC after impressing in several trials, including a friendly against Everton F.C..[2] Moriyasu made his A-League debut off the bench for the Sky Blues, in their Round 3, 1-0 loss to Brisbane Roar[3]
After several pleasing performances for Sydney FC, Moriyasu was offered a 2-year extension to his contract, which he accepted gratefully.[4]
He finally scored his first goal in Sydney FC's colours in a match against Newcastle Jets at Energy Australia Stadium, in which Sydney FC won 2-1 to break their five-game losing streak.[5]
